Wet Pour band perimeter shrinkage repairs are very common, especially on older wetpour surfaces. EPDM rubber crumb is prone to shrinkage and expansion in adverse weather conditions especially the older the surface gets as the rubber loses it's elasticity. The shrinkage of the rubber usually pulls away from the perimeter edge leaving a gap which often forms a trip hazard or an unsightly place for weed growth.
