Arnoldsfield Play Area, Lincolnshire
In January 2011 we were approached by South Kestevern District Council to transform a previously unused patch of waste land in the Greyfriars ward into a play area for local children. FLP were keen to turn this into a reality and we have done just that.
The overgrown area located between a steam and a railway embankment on the Arnoldsfield Sports Ground at Gonerby Hill Foot has been transformed thanks to the Playbuilder Scheme that FLP were successful in winning and we have been working closely with SKDC to develop the area into something that can be enjoyed by both children and parents.
The £60,000.00 new play area was named "Arnoldsfield Adventure Area"; by Ellie Potterton from Gonerby Hill Foot School. During the grand opening of the area the ribbon was cut by Ellie and Cllr Taylor who added; "It's only fitting that Ellie cuts the ribbon with me and we are delighted to open this fantastic facility which we hope will be enjoyed for many years to come."
