Need funding or a grant to get your project off the ground?

Funding bodies change all the time, some close and new ones initiate, we can always help to point you in the right direction and we highly recommend you check the ‘Funding’ page on the API website (Association of Play Industries) for up to date information and links

When it comes to funding a project it is always best to make a plan.

So, you know you need some financial help but, you have to apply for that help.  Prior planning will help you to formulate that plan and present an application that’s considered.

Prior Preparation

Plan in advance

Check if there are any restrictions or or specific issues with the area you hold

Build a team – assign people to different tasks, lighten the load

Communicate your plans to all those involved even to those who may object.

Publicise and gain support from the community, parents, get the press involved and make a statement

Get Involved or get others involved from the local community – hold planning or design sessions to make the decisions on what equipment everyone wants

Gather the information together now you know what you want where you want it and everyone’s in agreement

Contact the funders.

Post Funding nows the time to move to sustainable fundraising to ensure your play project is kept in check. You have your team, your influencers, maybe you’ve made valuable connections along the way- how about developing a strategy for long term fundraising to maintain the area, or even better – add more play!

Independent Funding Service

Here at FLP we believe our expertise is manufacturing, installation and maintenance of playground equipment and not in offering advice on how to gain funding for your new playground project.

With this in mind, if you feel you may require some independent advice on how to apply for funding please follow the link here to the School Funding Service.
