The Brief –
Having gone through the tender process Poringland Playingfield committee had selected a contractor in good faith to provide them with there new playarea. However shortly after placing the order the supplier when into receivership. The committee then turned to FLP to quick turnaround a quotation, 3D Plan combined with the view of still meeting there opening deadline of 4 week.
The Project –
The playarea redevelopment involved both refurbishing old equipment and the installation of some new items including fibrefall resin bound safety surfacing. Working to a tight timescale and budget FLP removed the old equipment and safety surfaces and installed a Gang Swing, Multiplay Centre, Traversing Wall, Spring Rocker and spinning bowl. Refurbishment work was carried out to the existing swinging steps providing new ropes / step blocks and toddler swing.
Lisa Neal of Poringland commented “It was lovely to see the children playing on the new equipment at the opening, made all the hard work worthwhile!”
Andrew Sparrow MD of FLP had the pleasure in representing the company at the grand opening of the playarea and meeting the committee and supporters who had worked tirelessly to fund raise and make this project become a reality.
We hope the children of Poringland will enjoy their play area for years to come!
